The Certificate IV in Government qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in operational roles in the public sector, demonstrating autonomy, judgement and limited responsibility within established parameters.
The qualification, without specialisation, is suited to work in an environment requiring multi-skilled personnel or in smaller organisations.

Program entry requirements
To successfully complete this course, students should:
- for online courses, have access to an internet connection, a computer (or device) with camera, speakers and microphone and printer
- fill in the pre-training questionnaire and send to qualifications@interactionconsulting.com.au
- complete the LLN test and send to qualifications@interactionconsulting.com.au
Unique Student Identifier
All students studying a VET course, completing an apprenticeship or skill set or enrolled in a Certificate or Diploma course require a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Pre-training review
All students are required to undertake pre-training review which aims to identify your training needs and existing skills. The review includes questions about previously achieved education or training qualification, related employment, language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills, basic computing skills and interview conducted by Interaction’s Enrolment Officer.
The interview also aims to identify possible rcognition of prior learning opportunities.
Through pre-training review, you will demonstrate that you have necessary skills to successfully complete the course.
All students are required to undertake the Interaction Consulting LLN test to assess the LLN level in order to provide any additional support.

Basic computing skills
Students are required to have basic computer skills including operating Microsoft Office Suite and doing research on the internet since the course will require you to make reports in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Complaints, concerns and appeals
Interaction provides the appropriate mechanisms and services for students to have complaints and appeals addressed efficiently and effectively.
We maintain a complaints and appeals policy which includes provisions that manage and respond to allegations involving the conduct of the RTO, its trainers, assessors or other staff, other students and a third-party providing services on the RTO’s behalf, its trainers, assessors or other staff, or a student of the RTO.

Recognition of prior learning
Students may be eligible to apply for recognition of their chosen qualification by providing evidence of their previous training, employment experience or other life skills that meet qualification requirements. Successful applications may result in a reduced training time.

This program is delivered under competency-based training which means instead of grading or marks, students are required to demonstrate all the criteria for each unit of competency and students are marked “Competent” or “Not yet competent”.

Course Outcomes
Australian Certification
On successful completion of this program, you will be issued with a nationally recognised qualification and statement of results.
If you are unable to complete the full qualification, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for the unit/s successfully completed.
Credit Transfer
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you may be eligible for credit transfer of relevant completed units if you decide to undertake a Diploma level course. Please contact us for more information.
